BIOMS Seminar: Mathematical Medicine: Rational Guidance for Complex Problems by Sivabal Sivaloganathan, University of Waterloo

SPEAKER:   Sivabal Sivaloganathan, University of Waterloo ABSTRACT: Problems and questions arising in Medicine and the Life are very complex, often of unknown etiology. In this talk, I will give a high level view of how prudent use of Occam’s razor (or the “law of parsimony”) can often lead to significant insights and provide rational guidance for problems arising in clinical medicine.
