TALK TITLE: "Effect of Degeneracy on Dynamics of PDEs"

ABSTRACT: During the talk, Dr. Efendiyev will present some realistic bio/medical models that leads to a new class of degenerate parabolic type systems analysis of which as well as the long-time dynamics of their solutions in terms of attractors is not well-understood. These bio/medical models create several new topics in mathematics, in particular: Infinite dimensional attractors with polynomial asymptotics of their Kolmogorov entropy. Other open questions will also be discussed.
