Incoming Mathematics PhD student awarded the China Scholarship Council Doctoral scholarship

Ms. Ningping Cao, an incoming PhD candidate in Applied Mathematics, has been awarded the prestigious China Scholarship Council (CSC) doctoral scholarship to fund her study at the University of Guelph for four years. Ningping will join the Department of Mathematics & Statistics in September 2017.
 
The China Scholarship Council (CSC) is a non-profit institution affiliated with the Ministry of Education in China. The objective of the CSC is to provide financial assistance to selected Chinese citizens wishing to study abroad and foreign citizens wishing to study in China in order to develop educational, scientific and technological, and cultural exchanges and economic and trade cooperation between China and other countries.
 
Ningping received her Bachelor’s degree in Engineering 
from the Nanchang Hangkong University 
in Nanchang, China, and her Master’s degree in mathematics from Capital Normal University, in Beijing, China. Ningping will be supervised by Prof. Bei Zeng and co-supervised by Prof. David Kribs.
