Abstract: The immune systems is complicated and is not entirely well understood. We are
developing mathematical models that can be used to 'replicate' disease outcome
observations. In this talk I will review some of the models that we have
developed and compare the dynamics of such models to disease data (HIV and
influenza). I will also discuss the rich dynamics that can be obtained from
more complex models, but contrast this with the mathematical complexity of
these models.
